Boat trips

On a catamaran

Boyard Voile offers a day trip to the island of Aix, or a trip around the Boyard Fort, on a cruise catamaran.

Ten people can board on "Tepee". This sailboat which is more than thirteen meters (42 ft) long has been designed by Francis Joyon.

On La Marcelle

The trips on La Marcelle, an old 11 meters (36 ft) long rigging boat, start in Boyardville harbour.

This former lifeboat from the Royal Navy is skippered by René. It will take you on a trip around Fort Boyard, or to spend the day on the island of Aix.

On a lifeboat

La Fleur de Sel, formerly an unsinkable lifeboat, will take you in the oyster pond, or for a trip around Fort Boyard.

Cruising

  • From Saint-Denis, Oléron croisières organises trips and fishing at sea on a motorized catamaran, the "Picot des îles".
  • The company called "Croisières Inter-Iles" offers cruise trips between the islands of Aix, Oléron and , as well as links to Rochefort, Fort-Boyard and La Rochelle. Its boats can accommodate two to three hundred passengers.
  • Since Boyardville, "Les Vedettes Oléronaises" offers sea excursions and a seasonal service to the island of Aix.

Boats to the mainland

Two small boats allow reaching the mainland:

  • "Le Vauban" ensures the link from Le Château d'Oléron and Saint-Trojan to Bourcefranc-le-Chapus and La Tremblade.
  • "Le Balusot" links Saint-Trojan to Marennes and La Tremblade.
